Defensive Driving Specialists offers several programs to choose from. The first option is for the complete program, classroom, and behind-the-wheel. The classroom phase involves 16 days over a four week period. Students come to class Monday through Thursday for two and one half hours a day. This totals approximately 40 hours of instruction, which is more than any other commercial driving school.

The behind-the-wheel phase also takes place over a three week period with students coming twice a week. They have three choices to choose from; they can drive on Monday and Thursday, Tuesday and Friday, or Wednesday and Saturday. The choices are on a first come, first serve basis and will be honored as long as a space exists. The cost for the complete program is $375.00.

The second program is for only behind-the-wheel. The times are the same as in the complete program, but the cost is only $225.00. Times for driving change throughout the year, so e-mail me at buick01@charter.net.

The third program is for individual refresher hours. These are offered at a rate of $40.00/hour and are offered at various times. This is an excellent program for the student who has his/her license for a while and just wants to make sure they haven't picked up any bad habits. It is also a good program for the mom and dad that wants to make sure they are keeping up with the current rules of the road. When it comes to safety, DDS feels it's a family thing.

Whichever program is best suited for your needs, you can rest assured that the education you are receiving is second to none. I have taught over 4,000 young people, to drive and to the best of my knowledge, not one has died in a car crash yet. I am very proud of this record and don't plan on breaking it any time soon.
